As for his character, it remains unchanged. Fran\u00e7ois, now approaching his sixties, puts it bluntly: “I’m not at the end of my winemaking life! And there’s no age limit for taking on new challenges<\/em>“. Having just completed the process of obtaining organic certification for the entire domaine, he is now expanding his facilities and replanting in La C\u00f4te-Saint-Andr\u00e9. “That’s where I was born. I’ll never see these vines grow old. I’m planting them for future generations.<\/em>” Although he is not yet talking about stepping down, this young grandfather with an encyclopaedic memory is starting to imagine what the domaine might look like when he has gone. “I’d like to leave my mark on history.
