Domaine de Beaurenard

Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Beaurenard may be an icon in the Southern Rhône, but this 8-generation wine domaine is by no means a monument set in stone. Here, the Coulon family is cultivating the living and evolving world. Here, organic and biodynamic practices have a long history. The same goes for the bespoke plot management, in harmony with nature, the grape varieties and the terroir. The same goes for complantation, the art of winegrowing biodiversity nurtured by a conservatory of 13 grape varieties derived from the domaine’s oldest vines. “We are pioneers in regenerative agriculture“.
Victor and Antonin are now at the domaine’s helm, supported by their father Daniel and Uncle Frédéric. “At every stage, we work as a family.” Here, the passing on of the family legacy is a gratifying daily yet long-term process, in the “quest to understand things better and better” with the precision and energy that are typical of Beaurenard. “Our common goal is to craft wines that bear the family signature, that reflect our beliefs and unite together… Wines that will stand the test of time.

Vineyards

32 ha AOC CHÂTEAUNEUF DU PAPE, 25 ha RASTEAU and 6 ha AOC CÔTES DU RHÔNE. Grape varieties: 13 (primarily Grenache then Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, etc.). The vineyards are certified organic (Ecocert) and biodynamic (Demeter) to further enhance the expression of the terroir with respect for nature and the environment.

Cellar

Harvested by hand, sorted, destemmed, fermented with native yeasts, vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel and wooden truncated vats, cap punching operations, long vatting periods, ageing in newly new oak barrels and foudres.
